This is the same type of care you would need to provide for a carbon steel bladed dagger or sword. You may notice some rusting or spotting on the blade when you receive it, or after a while if you have displayed it without protection from moisture. This is a normal occurrence with steel bladed weapons which can be easily removed with fine steel wool or metal polish.
